Dus laten we eens zien wat er gebeurt als ik een tweede berichtje schrijf...

Ik heb me ingeschreven voor de show in Schiedam in september. Dit is de Felikat Jubileumshow, en hij is twee dagen. Ik heb me voor beide dagen ingeschreven...
Nog geen idee hoe dat zal gaan, met mijn katten-allergie. Meestal ben ik aan het einde van een dag showen helemaal versleten, met tranende ogen...

Hopelijk gaat het lukken om bij de Rexen en Sphynxen te mogen zitten. Ik heb aangeboden om te helpen bij hun stand. Bovendien wil ik nu eindelijk wel eens iedereen ervan doordringen dat LaPerms gewoon Rexen zijn, ook al staat het dan niet in hun naam...
Uiteindelijk zit die hele hal natuurlijk vol kattenhaar, maar ik hoop dat het verschil gaat uitmaken als mijn buren Rexen en Sphynxen zijn in plaats van de Somali's en Turkse Angora's waar ze ons meestal bij zetten.

I just registered for the show in Schiedam in September. It's the Felikat anniversary show and it's a two-day event. I entered cats on both days...
I wonder how I will come out of the event, considering my cat allergy! At the end of a cat show I'm usually exhausted, teary-eyed and wheezing...

I hope they will put us with the Rexes and Sphynxes, as requested. Not only because I volunteered to help them run their info stand, but also because it is so difficult to get it into people's heads that the LaPerm is a Rex breed even if it doesn't actually have the word in the breed name...
Besides, although I realise the air in the show hall will be full of cat hairs of all breeds, I do hope it might make some small difference if my neighbours are Rexes and Sphynxes instead of Somalis and Turkish Angoras (which is the corner where they usually put us).
